The Athina Research Centre, the only research centre in Greece specializing exclusively in the area of innovation in information, communication and knowledge technologies, offers a significant opportunity for the public to learn more about the digital present and future.
On Wednesday 28 May from 10:00 to 21:00, the Chairman, Professor Georgios Karayiannis, the Board and the scientists of the Athina Research Centre, will present officially for the first time, at the Evgenidou Institute, the range of innovative research and development activities in which the Centre is engaged.
The event will be attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Development. The official opening address on the subject ‘Man and machine’ will be delivered by Professor Panos Ligomenidis, Deputy President of the Athens Academy.
During the event visitors will have the chance to learn about the technologies, services and products of the Athina Research Centre in the following areas: «Language, education and culture», «Production and knowledge-intensive labour», « Universal access», «Media and communication», «Digital supervision», «Space programmes» and «Digital technologies for sustainable development and environmental protection».
