The Minister for Development, Dimitris Sioufas, is to open “Polychoros”, an area located on the ground floor of the Ministry of Development which is designed to welcome and inform young people and take them on a guided tour of the world of business.

At 11am on Wednesday 22 December (tomorrow), development minister Dimitris Sioufas is to open “Polychoros”, an area located on the ground floor of the Ministry of Development (Mesogeion 119) which is designed to welcome and inform young people and take them on a guided tour of the world of business. He will be joined by deputy development ministers Giorgos Salagoudis and Giannis Papathanasiou, ministry of development general secretaries Nikos Stefanou (Development), Spiros Papadopoulos (Industry), Prof Giannis Tsoukalas (Research and Technology), Dimitris Vrettakos (Trade), and Athanasios Skordas (Consumer Affairs), and special secretary for competitiveness Spiros Efstathopoulos, and other ministry of development officials.

The creation of “Polychoros” is intended to encourage people (particularly the young) to create their own businesses with the best possible prospects for success and with the assistance of the European Union through the actions of the Operational Programme for Competitiveness.

Development correspondents are asked to be present at the event.
