The objective of the O.P. ‘Competitiveness’ in the secondary sector is to re-structure production and upgrade technology by strengthening the competitive capacity of existing businesses and by creating new businesses which will leverage innovation and apply new technologies.

This objective will be attained through the following policy priorities:
  • Apply measures to simplify and improve the business environment
  • Employ technology in business
  • Encourage entrepreneurship
  • Promote business collaborations
  • Reorient business activity to respect the environment
  • Upgrade human resources in business
